Little Bird welcomes Harriet Richardson

We had the pleasure of welcoming the talented, bold, and charismatic performance artist Harriet Richardson to the Manasian&Co studio for a Little Bird Talk.

Harriet began her career as a graphic designer, spending five years at Pentagram as a graphic designer. Her journey into performance art began as a form of protest when she attended the ‘Youth For Climate’ protest in 2019. It was at this protest that her sign reading ‘Leonardo DiCaprio’s Girlfriends Deserve A Future’ went viral. Since then, blending creativity with sharp, impactful copy has become a hallmark of Harriet’s style. Her work has since evolved to explore themes of love, sex, connection, and addiction.

As the daughter of two former graphic designers, she dedicated her talk to her parents and reflected on her personal journey as a young designer. In her Little Bird Talk, Harriet shared twelve confessions from her life – artistic, shocking, and, of course, comical.

One of her most poignant confessions revolved around her motivations for leaving the corporate world to pursue her passion as an artist. This resulted in the creation of the photobook ‘Scandalous’, a collection of scans taken on a work scanner before she quit for good.

In a world fixated on polished personas and curated perfection, Harriet is a breath of fresh air. Her honesty and relatability create genuine connections, and we can’t wait to see what she does next.

A brilliant Little Bird Talk, a bold artist, and a new hat for the studio nodding to Harriet’s first collaborative performance work ‘100 Dates’.
