Is AI friend or foe? We kicked off 2024 with a Little Bird talk hosted by Jaspreet Bindra, author and AI expert, to delve into how AI can help us do what we do best.
AI has been a transformative force across industries, but the rise of sophisticated tools like ChatGPT and Adobe Firefly has catapulted AI from the realm of tech aficionados to the broader public sphere. These platforms have democratised AI, offering unprecedented access and opening up new possibilities for creativity and efficiency.
We called on Jaspreet Bindra, founder and MD of Tech Whisperer, to host a Little Bird Talk on AI and answer our burning questions.
A key insight from the talk was the evolving nature of AI’s impact on the workforce. The question, “Will AI take my job?” was met with a nuanced perspective. Jaspreet highlighted that while AI may replace certain roles, it concurrently paves the way for job creation and will enhance existing roles. For instance, ChatGPT’s ability to structure information rapidly and even generate code is revolutionary. However, AI cannot (yet) replicate the depth of human relationships or draw on emotion.
The takeaway is clear: embracing AI as a complementary tool can lead to an incredibly useful combination of our human experience and intuition and the knowledge and speed of AI. Jaspreet’s message resonated with the audience: “AI won’t replace your job; however, a person who effectively harnesses AI might.”
We would like to extend a huge thank you to Jaspreet for coming into our studio to share his wisdom, and we hope to welcome him back into the studio in the not-too-distant future to keep us up to date on the ever-evolving world of AI.
